Troubleshooting

NO QR CODE APPEARING?
-> When was the last time you have updated the app? Since version 0.975 (released Nov 1st), QR codes should ALWAYS come in. If nothing happens after 60 seconds, please try restarting both your iPhone and your Apple Watch and make sure that you are using a stable internet connection. Also, in the iPhone app, please activate "Activate alternative connection" and then try again.

"WE COULD NOT SIGN YOU INTO ..."?
-> Bad timing, a new QR code just came in. Just hit "OK" and try again. Depending on when the code came it, this might happen a few times in a row.

A QR CODE APPEARS BUT YOU JUST CAN'T SCAN THE QR CODE?
-> In the iPhone app, please activate "Activate alternative connection" and then try again. Make sure that you are using Whatsapp to scan.
-> 42mm? Try moving the phone closer to the watch and then tap the camera preview area so the camera is not blurry anymore
-> 38mm? As of right now, sometimes WhatsApp doesn't zoom enough to pick up the QR code from the smaller Apple Watch display. Click to watch a video that describes a hacky yet smart workaround. Users have been reporting that this is not necessary anymore with version 0.975: In the iPhone app, please activate "Activate alternative connection", wait for the "biggest" QR Code to appear and start scanning whatever the Watch displays. This might take a few tries.

Known issues (sorted by priority):

- problems with clicking conversations with the same name
- emojis in conversation title sometimes make it unselectable
- quoted messages show new sender but only the original content, not the comment itself
- "Load more messages"-button make the conversation scroll to bottom
- emojis in messages not displayed
- subtle battery drain when open (some devices only)
- chats list sometimes repeats 2 times

- load more messages per conversation

- linked replies jump to source
- reply to messages
- make it look and feel more like native messages app
